What EGG Tanzania does?

The organization carries intensive and scientific tracking of capacities of public education structures against national education vision and mission; the capacities of implementers of policies, plans, regulations and procedures in the sector; and the effectiveness in resource allocations and expenditures

EGG -Tanzania will continuously and periodically disseminate information to respective education structures for the purpose of creating dialogue on improvement and positive steps ahead. The information also will generally be disseminated to the public through the civil society ™s engagement and the media.

Of particular interest, EGG -Tanzania will engage in the building and development of capacities of administrators within the structures of public education sector responsible for the administration of education.

Among other services EGG -Tanzania does and can:

i) Undertake research in areas of education planning, management, and financing.

ii) Offer short term toiler- made training programmes in among others; education planning, administration, management, and financing.

iii) Provide technical support services for key government depar ents in the education sector, for example, on-the-job guidance and mentoring.

i) Conduct commissioned research, and tracking facility in four key areas of EGG -Tanzania focus for clients in the government, civil society, the private sector, and the development partners.

ii) Facilitate technical dialogue, motivation speaking on key education development issues, by bringing together views from the government, Tanzania Diaspora, Civil society, private sector, academia, development partners, and other education stakeholders.

iii) Engaging and promoting interventions in the area of supporting government efforts towards the development of education in disadvantaged areas.

In all these activities, the idea is to build indigenous capacity to monitor Tanzania ™s education performance and to permit knowledge sharing and timely flow of information on which to base education policy analyses and education development decisions at large
